Saturday 22nd July
Trans Pride Brighton, the largest celebration of trans, intersex and gender non-conforming people, started the day with a huge crowd of 2,500 people all gathering outside the Marlborough pub ready to join the official protest march.
The march went peacefully along the seafront waving banners and chanting “Trans Rights are Human Rights” before ending at Brunswick Square to join the events, community stalls, stage performers and caterers for the main afternoon park event.
The rain came at about 3pm, but didn’t deter everyone. The day carried on with the wonderful speakers, performers and the main band playing until the end. The nearly sold-out evening celebrations at the DIY gig and Traumfrau after party ran until the late hours.
